2009-2010 PRESCHOOL CLASS INFORMATION
“RACCOON” CLASS (four and five year
olds)
Time: 9:00 to 11:30 AM Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays.
Tuition: $175.00 per month.
Our prekindergarten program has been developed over the last 30 years
and serves children
who are four and five years old. Children attend three times a week.
Pre-K classes prepare your
child for success in kindergarten. Our curriculum is child-directed,
with emphasis on social and
play skills, learning to work successfully within a small group of peers,
cooking projects, field trips,
language development, music, self-esteem building, creative art projects,
self-help skills, cooperative
group games, outdoor play, and exploration of colors, numbers, shapes,
letter sounds and a variety
of conceptual skills. Projects and activities center around monthly unit
themes, and parent
volunteers are utilised four times a month for small group learning activities.
Prekindergarten
classes for four and five year olds are limited to twelve children and
participants must have
turned four by September 1, 2009 and be consistently toilet trained.
“BEAVER” CLASS
(four and five year olds)
Time: 12:00 to 2:30 PM Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays.
Tuition: $175.00 per month.
Same class description as the Raccoon class, except that children in this class
bring their lunch and a drink to class each day.

registration fee, payable to “First
Friends”, will reserve a
space for your child. Classes fill in the order in which registrations
are received. We reserve the
right to balance classes by gender.
